The goal of contract management

For the Sponsor the goal of contract management is to:

• Ensure that the concessionaire satisfies the requirements of the Concession Agreement
• Allow flexibility and be prepared to deal with the need for change as it arises over the life of the PPP

The focus of contract management will mostly be on the first of these: ensuring compliance with the agreement. This involves monitoring the concessionaire’s performance against pre-specified requirements and taking appropriate actions in the case of under-performance.
