The project involved providing combined drinking water supply scheme to Hungund, Ilkal & Kustagi towns with Almatti dam on Krishana river as a source. The scheme was designed to provide drinking water to 1,73,000 people at the rate of 135 LPCD and to 37,198 people located in enroute villages at the rate of 55 LPCD under UIDSSMT.
