Project Brief
It include 130 MW hydel based power unit. This project envisages diversion of the Kerang stream into an underground water conductor system (K-K Link Tunnel) leading to upstream end of Stage-I water conductor system thus augmenting the generating capacity of Stage-I scheme, in Distt. Kinnaur (HP). The project is expected to generate 545 MU of electricity in 90% dependable year

The KK Link Tunnel from outlet portal was taken up and 69 m has been done so far and thereafter the work from outlet of KK link tunnel has been stopped by the local people. Works from Intake site could not be started due to agitation by Lippa Panchayat. Efforts are being made to pursue the matter with Lippa Panchayat. The case is in NGT and Next hearing in NGT has been scheduled to be held on 29th Oct, 2015.
